"The Vehicross is a rolling showcase of Isuzu's best technology," according to the Motor Trend website. Designed for versatility, it can handle both all-terrain treks and smooth highway drives. A limited edition, this sports utility vehicle (SUV) is rare and has come a long way since its debut as a concept vehicle at the 1993 Tokyo Motor Show.

Engine

    The Isuzu Vehicross has a 3.5-liter V6 engine with six cylinders. This SUV's engine can go a maximum of 5,400 rpm, with 230 ft-lbs. of torque. Buyers can choose between a four-speed automatic transmission or a five-speed manual transmission. The fuel tank holds 22.5 gallons. The vehicle gets 15 mpg in city driving and 19 mpg on the highway.

Driving

    A four-wheel drive SUV, the Isuzu Vehicross is built for both on and off road travel, including off-road trails. With a 34.1-foot turning circle, the 2012 Isuzu Vehicross can handle more tighter turns than ever.

Cabin Dimensions

    The vehicle provides 38.2 inches of front head room and 52.4 inches of front hip room, as well as 52 inches of front shoulder room and 43.2 inches of front leg room. In the back seat, rear head room measures 35.4 inches, rear hip room is 40 inches, rear shoulder room is 51.6 inches and rear leg room is 29.5 inches. The trunk offers 50 cubic feet of cargo space and 13.9 cubic feet of luggage space. The Isuzi Vehicross is a two-door SUV and comfortably seats 4 passengers.

Safety Features

    The Isuzu Vehicross has numerous safety features, including a 4-wheel anti-lock brake system (ABS), airbags through the vehicle, 3-point seat belts, interior lights, child rear safety door locks and rear latch child seat anchors.

Exterior Features

    The exterior of the Isuzu Vehicross features skid plates, black grille moldings, exterior mirrors, black bumpers with a front tow hook, rear bumper, two rear tow hooks, rear spoiler wing and black fender flares.

Standard Features

    The Isuzu Vehicross comes with standard features, including a tilt steering column, moonroof, rear window defroster, two power outlets, cruise control, 4-speaker AM/FM cassette stereo, 245/70 snow and mud tires, intermittent wipers, alloy wheels and a tachometer. Specialized features are optional, such as power windows, locks and mirrors, front door courtesy lights, fog lights, cargo tray and a 6-CD changer.
