The Ford Mustang is the quintessential American muscle car, and Ford is still producing the vehicles today. The 1995 3.8 L edition of the car has 145-horsepower engine and can accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in 9.9 seconds. The struts form part of the vehicle's shock-absorption system. It can be expensive to have the struts installed by a professional mechanic. To save money and learn a thing or two about auto repair, you can do the job yourself on your 1995 Mustang.

Instructions

    1

Jack up the vehicle and remove the wheels.

    2

Connect the strut tower to the axle with the three tower bolts.

    3

Line up the strut tower with the caliper so the tines of the caliper are interlinked with the bolts.

    4

Fit the plastic boot over the top of the shaft.

    5

Screw the camber mount into the top of the boot.

    6

Bolt the strut to the strut tower.

    7

Place the nuts on the retention bolts.

    8

Replace the wheels and lower the vehicle to the ground.

    9

Check or fix the front-end alignment as working on the suspension system typically requires the car to be realigned.
