The Murcielago and the Gallardo are the high-powered sports cars manufactured by Italian automaker, Lamborghini. Both automobiles are extremely expensive, easily making them symbols of opulence.
Trim
Both cars can come either as a coupe or a roadster; the latter is a two-seater without a roof. The Gallardo dubs its roadster version a "spyder," which is an alternate term.
Engines and Transmissions
The Murchielago is loaded with a 6.5-liter 631-horsepower V12 engine. The Gallardo's engine is a 5.2-liter V10 equipped with 560 horsepower.
Safety Features
The Murcielago and the Gallardo, for the most part, have the same safety features. However, the Murcielago additionally has automatic load leveling, while the Gallardo has a standard vehicle stability control system, keyless entry and more airbags.
Interior Features
A DVD player is standard in the Murcielago, while it is an option in the Gallardo. The Gallardo has standard driver and passenger multi-adjustable power seats, a feature that is not even an option in the Murcielago.
Exterior Features
The Murcielago has 19-inch alloy wheels, while the Gallardo has 20-inch ones. Exterior features the cars share include High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamps, power windows, rear spoiler and power adjustable side mirrors.
