AM General started marketing the Hummer in 1992 as a civilian truck. The General Motors Corp. attained exclusive rights to the Hummer name at the end of 1999, which became Hummer H1. General Motors produced a second and third generation of Hummers, such as the Hummer H2, Hummer H3, Hummer H3T and Hummer H3 Alpha. Hummer H3

    This mid-size vehicle generates 239 horsepower with a 3.7-liter engine and five-speed transmission. In addition, the vehicle receives 14 miles per gallon (mpg) in town and 18 mpg on the highway. Hummer H3 Alpha

Hummer H3T

    The 2010 Hummer H3T, H3T Adventure and H3T Luxury models come with a 3.7-liter aluminum, five-speed manual transmission that produces 239 horsepower and 241feet-pounds of torque. In addition, all three models come with 16-inch painted steel rims. The H3T and H3T Luxury editions are equipped with P265/75R16 steel-belted all-terrain tires, and the H3T Adventure model comes with all-terrain LT285/75R16 tires.
