Auburn Hills, Michigan, is the location of Chrysler Group LLC headquarters. Chrysler Group owns the Chrysler fleet of cars, including the Chrysler Sebring Convertible. The Chrysler Sebring Convertible is "one of the few affordable drop tops with a legitimate backseat, and it also offers a retractable hardtop," notes Edmunds. In addition, the vehicle comes in three different trim levels, including the LX, Touring and Limited.

Sebring LX Convertible

The Sebring LX Convertible starts at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $27,850 as of October 2010. Under the hood is a 2.4-liter 16-valve dual VVT engine with a four-speed automatic transmission that yields 173 horsepower and 166 lbs. of torque. The LX model gives 20 miles per gallon in city driving and 29 mpg on the highway, with a fuel capacity of 16.9 gallons. The vehicle comes with a chrome-accented grille, Sirius Satellite Radio, cloth bucket seats and 16-inch rims with P215/65R 16 BSW all-season tires

Sebring Touring Convertible

"You can forget about engaging performance here, but if all you want is wind in your hair, room for four adults and a somewhat reasonable price tag, don't count the Sebring drop top out," says Edmunds. The Sebring Touring Convertible has a four-speed automatic transmission with a 2.7-liter 24-valve MPI engine that creates 186 horsepower and gets 26 mpg on the highway. In addition, the car features touring suspension, power heated mirrors and 17-inch rims equipped with Bridgestone all-season tires. The Touring's MSRP is $29,210 as of October 2010.

Sebring Limited Convertible

"A domestic mainstay in the midsize segment, the Chrysler Sebring is one of only a handful of reasonably priced vehicles to be offered as both a sedan and a convertible," according to Edmonds. The Sebring Limited Convertible packs a six-speed automatic transmission and a 3.5-liter engine producing 235 horsepower at 6,400 rpm. The vehicle features heated front seats, leather trimmed bucket seats and 18-inch chrome-plated aluminum rims with all-season P215/55R 18 BSW touring tires. The Sebring Limited Convertible has a $32,710 MSRP as of October 2010.
