There are three different models for the 1993 Ford Tempo. They are the GL two- and four-door models, and the LX four-door sedan. The GL two-door Tempo features cloth trim seating, interval windshield wipers, and tinted glass. Optional features include rear-window defogger, six-way power adjustable driver seat, and dual electric remote-control mirrors.

Engine Specifications

    The 1993 Ford Tempo came standard with a 2.3-L 96-horsepower engine with a torque of 128 pound-feet. A more powerful 3.0-L 130-horsepower V-6 was also available. Torque for this engine is 150 pound-feet. The bore for the 2.3-L engine is 3.68 inches and the stroke is 3.31 inches. The bore for the 3.0-L engine is 3.50 inches and the stroke is 3.10 inches. A five-speed manual transmission was included. If you don't drive a manual, you have the option of a three-speed automatic transmission.

    The Ford Tempo for 1993 includes standard features like an AM/FM stereo, engine temperature gauge, and digital instrument display. Optional items include power windows and door locks. A power door lock remote was not available for this model. Other optional items included air conditioning, cruise control, and a cassette player.

    The length of the 1993 Ford Tempo is 177 inches. The exterior height is 52.9 inches. The wheelbase is 100 inches with a tire size of P185/70R14. It has a wheel/rim size of 14 by 5.5 inches. Fuel Economy

    Gas mileage for the 2.3-L engine is 22 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway. The larger 3.0-L engine gas mileage is a bit less, coming in at 20 miles per gallon in the city and 23 miles per gallon on the highway. Fuel capacity is 15.9 gallons of unleaded gasoline.
