Austin-Healey produced some of the most popular British sports cars of the '50s and '60s. Although not terribly expensive at the time, those that remain are increasingly valuable and sought-after.

- 1
Look for a 100-4 if you want the classic Austin-Healey. Introduced in 1953, this model was later replaced by the bigger, six-cyclinder Healeys. Today, it is considered the most classic model.
2Consider the Austin-Healey 3000 for a bit more sophistication and power.
3Seek the Bugeye Sprite for a more affordable and cute Healey. These cars are still quite plentiful today.
4Realize that you are buying a British sports car. Be prepared to deal with the infamous Lucas electrical systems, which can be incredibly quirky and unreliable.
5Watch out for rust, which can cause severe structural problems in Healeys.
6Make sure to have any car inspected by a qualified mechanic.
