Mini Clubman Options

The BMW-owned Mini Clubman comes in 11 separate versions with a base 121-horsepower in-line four-cylinder engine, the turbocharged 181-horsepower engine in the Cooper S model or the 208-horsepower engine in the John Cooper Works model. The Clubman, which is an estate wagon version of the hatchback, shares the same factory options as the Hatch, Convertible, John Cooper and Countryman. Factory options include the Salt Recipe, Pepper Recipe and the top-of-the-line Chili Recipe option package.

Background

The 2011 Mini Clubman is identical to the Hatch from the B-pillars forward, but sits on a stretched wheelbase of 100.3 inches -- 3.1 inches longer than that of the Hatch. The Clubman's body is 9.4 inches longer than the Hatch, at 155.9 inches. The Clubman also features a split rear door instead of a hatch to gain access to the cargo area and a right-side "Clubdoor" for rear passengers. Minis manufactured after 2000 are not related to pre-2000 Minis under previous ownerships.

Mini One

Factory options for the Mini One Clubman come in the form of the Salt and Pepper packages. The Salt options include velour floor matches, fog lamps, interior light package, onboard computer, passenger seat height adjustment, a storage kit and two-spoke leather steering wheel. The Pepper options include the Salt features, plus chrome exterior trim, leather steering wheel and five-hole circular spoke alloy wheels.

Mini One D

The 2011 Mini One D, or diesel version Clubman, receives the same Salt package as the gasoline-powered Mini One. However, the Pepper package adds seven-hole alloy wheels, Bluetooth and a USB audio input.

Mini Cooper

The Mini Cooper model receives no Salt package and its Pepper package becomes the low-end option, offering identical features as the Pepper package of the Mini One and Mini One D. The Mini Cooper also offers the upgraded Chili package, which features six-star twin-spoke alloy wheels, sport leather steering wheel, storage compartment package, velour floor mats, fog lamps, automatic air conditioning, Bluetooth, multifunction switches on the steering wheel, onboard computer, flat load floor, sport seats and Ray cloth/leather upholstery. The diesel version Cooper D Club receives the same options. The Cooper S and Cooper SD models can also receive the Chili option. The only difference between the Cooper S and standard Cooper Chili package is that the Cooper S gets conical spoke light-alloy wheels.

John Cooper Works

The 2011 Mini John Cooper Works is the performance version of the Clubman. The 1.6-liter engine coupled with a six-speed Getrag manual transmission delivers 211 horsepower and a top speed of 148 mph. Options in addition to the Chili package include entertainment and navigation functions integrated into the speedometer and 17-inch light-alloy wheels. The Clubman S Hampton also features 17-inch alloys along with the Chili package.

Sport Pack

The optional Sport Pack for all 2011 Minis includes the 17-inch alloys, black-accented front and rear aprons, horizontal slats over the fog lamps and a honeycomb mesh screen over the air intake on the nose. Inside is a John Cooper Works black leather sports steering wheel with red stitching, and matching leather gear shift and handbrake gaiter. The sports seats are upholstered in black cloth and leather. The package also features a sport-tuned suspension, traction control, a differential lock control and stability control.
